A little snow helps construction
It snowed a little bit the other day, which made for a good excuse for another picture. Photo credit goes to my wife.

Entrance Shaping Up
Merry Christmas Eve!
The store entrance is on the northwest corner of the building as seen in this picture taken with my back to Bank of Ann Arbor.
By the way...Keep Out!

Brick Walls Going Up
You can see the bricks being laid along the South wall. One of those cherry pickers would be very helpful to put up Christmas lights. Anyway...
This picture was taken on our way to Costco in Madison Heights. I'm looking forward to snacking on a polish sausage and dipped ice cream.
Usually we hit up Thuy Trang (link to Yelp!) for Vietnamese food in Mad Heights and finish up with a stop at the Chinese bakery. Pho Dac Biet is my go to dish. Yum!

Garage on West side of building
It looks like the garage will be in the West side of the building.
This picture was take on my way to get gas, so I wonder if they'll build a gas station at this location. Here's a link to Costco's Q & A page about their gas. Never knew this existed.

Drive By Photo
This picture is taken from Ellsworth Rd on our way to Chia Shiang (link to Yelp!) for lunch. If you like spicy food, the hot fish soup is great.

Roof Structure Added
This wont stop the snow we've been getting recently but the building is really starting to take shape.
Speaking of snow, it's time to put the snow tires on the wife's car again. Last year the tpms gave a low pressure warning and I found a nail on the shoulder between the tread and sidewall. Costco's Road Hazard warranty, included in the price of the tires, really came in handy.

Ohhhh! More Beams
This is exciting, construction is moving fast. But not fast enough to get snow tires mounted at this location this winter.

Cement Poured and Posts Erected
There looks to be some posts put up to frame the outer walls of the building.
This picture was taken on our way to Dog-O-Mat. Our dog loves the car ride there, but that's about it.

Moving in some heavy machinery
There aren't any structures yet, but I'm still excited.
On a separate note, Costco Black Friday Ads can be found on the web if you're into that kind of thing.

Ann Arbor Costco blog?
Who loves Costco? I do!
This blog will track the construction of the new Ann Arbor Costco through pictures. The location is technically in Pittsfield Township, but will have an Ann Arbor mailing address. Construction on the location has been going on for about 2 months. The first steps were to raze the existing buildings, grade the lot and work on the utilities.
